Flexible Magnets Flexible
materials offer product designers a uniquely & desirable
combination of properties at lower costs than other magnet material.
The flexibility & mach inability of these material's permit design
innovations & automated manufacturing techniques, which is not
possible with rigid/brittle materials.
Features
• Can be bent, twisted, coiled, punched & otherwise machined into almost any shapes without the loss of magnetic energy.
• They can also replace Ceramic 1 materials, if close tolerances are
not the requirement & if operating below about 250º F temperatures.
• Standard grades of flexible materials feature energy products from 0.6 MGOe to 1.6 MGOe.
Manufacturing Methods
• Extrusion:
For producing materials in strip forms (from about 6 mm to 250 mm wide).
• Calendaring :
Fro producing materials in sheet forms (up to around 600 mm wide).
